Silver Solder Copper

Silver-copper alloy refers to the silver alloy with copper as the main alloying element.

The copper content in the silver copper alloy is different, and the color is different, from silver white through rose red to red. Fine crystal, no brittleness, better wear resistance than sterling silver. Its outstanding feature is strong resistance to sulfide. Used as electrical contact materials are AgCu5, AgCu7.5, AgCu10, AgCu15, AgCu20, AgCuNi20-2, AgCu25 and so on. With good mechanical properties, wear resistance and fusion welding resistance, mainly used as high voltage, high current relay contact and light, medium load circuit electrical contact, used as brazing material mainly AgCu7.5, AgCu25, AgCu28, AgCu55, etc., to AgCu28 widely used. With good conductivity, fluidity and wettability, it is widely used in electric vacuum industry. Due to the resistance of long-term load under high temperature, it is only suitable for brazing parts with working temperature below 400℃. Silver and copper alloys are also commonly used in coins and ornaments. Alloys used as coins are AgCu7.5, AgCu8, AgCu10, etc. Used as decorations are AgCu8.4, AgCu12.5 and so on.

Silver copper alloy has good wear resistance, electrical contact and corrosion resistance. It has good electrical and thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance and processing properties.
